Archway Project
1985 - 35 units
This project was funded by the City of New Haven and rehabilitated a foursquare block area of the upper Hill neighborhood. The effort resulted in the renovation of a total of 35 units of infill housing in approximately 15 buildings on Arch, White, Redfield, Hallock and West Streets. The project emerged out of the Urban Renewal Plan of 1973; federal funding made available through that program was channeled through the Board of Aldermen to HDC, who managed the entire application and construction process. These units were then sold to first-time homebuyers. This Project was the beginning of many projects to come.
