Thank you for taking the time to inquire about our Homeownership Programs, Wealth Building Initiatives and Individual Counseling at Hill Development Corporation of New Haven ("HDC"). We intend to play a key role in helping you become a successful First-Time Home Buyer, and we look forward to offering you support, guidance and advice as you take the important steps towards homeownership.
The Housing Department at HDC provides the following services, counseling and workshops:

- Fair Housing and Credit Laws

- Mortgage Programs Workshop
- Residential Rental Counseling
- Financial Management Counseling: Money and Debt Management
- Pre-Purchase Homeownership Counseling
- Post-Purchase Homeownership Counseling
- Mortgage Delinquency Intervention Counseling
- Home Equity Conversion Mortgage ("HECM") Counseling
- Access to Real Estate Agents, Mortgage Loan Officers/Brokers, Home Inspectors, Homeowner Insurance Agents, Real Estate Attorneys and Consumer Loan Officers
- Referrals to Consumer Credit Counseling Agencies, Non-Profit Housing Agencies and City Homeownership Programs
- Access to Individual Development Accounts ("IDA"), Downpayment and Closing Costs Grants/Loans and Family Self Sufficiency Programs
Your next step towards homeownership is to complete and submit an HDC Homeownership Program Enrollment Packet. If you choose to have HDC pull your tri-merge (Experian, Trans Union and Equifax) personal credit report you must submit a personal money order made payable to "HDC." The fee for an individual personal credit report is $35.00 and the fee for a joint personal report is $60.00. Please refer to HDC Homeownership Program Enrollment Instructions for other options in providing HDC with a copy of your personal credit report.
